Graduate photos are an important part of the celebration of the day. Professional photos will be taken of each graduate at multiple points in the ceremony by GradImages. Graduates will receive free proofs in the mail or their SIU email address, a few weeks after graduation. Find your SIU graduation photo!

Guests are not permitted on the floor for photos at any time before, during, or after the ceremony. In order to allow the subsequent ceremony to begin on time, guests are asked to exit the Banterra Center in an orderly fashion as soon as graduates begin exiting the floor.

There are several popular photo opportunities immediately outside of the Banterra Center, including the Saluki statues. Please be respectful and brief if you choose to take photos in the area nearby, so others may have a turn. 

Graduates who want more extensive time for photos are advised to take photos in the days before or after Commencement weekend, or find an alternate location on campus. Visit Visitor Parking to download an SIU Campus Map.

• Fountain in front of the Student Services Building
• Fountain next to the main entrance of the Student Center
• Faner plaza
• Japanese garden near Faner
• Saluki Alumni Plaza
• Clocktower at Pulliam
• Fountain and steps in front of Morris Library
• Steps of Shryock Auditorium
• Your academic building
• The residence hall where you lived
